Would conventional extinguishing systems cause too much damage to protected objects? Then gas extinguishing systems are the perfect solution. They are the cleanest extinguishing system because the gaseous extinguishing agent leaves no residue.

The principle

Gas can be used to extinguish fires quickly, effectively and without leaving any residue. Carbon dioxide, the most effective extinguishing gas, displaces the oxygen from the source of the fire and thus suffocates the fire. CO₂ also binds heat and draws energy from the source of the fire. This further accelerates the extinguishing effect. Gas extinguishing systems are activated via electrical or mechanical trigger mechanisms.

  • For sensitive fire protection requirements

    In hazardous material warehouses, in hydraulic systems with flammable liquids or in electronic equipment, a fire can only be effectively contained with gas. Water-based extinguishing agents are unsuitable here, not least because of the extinguishing residues.

    Firian offers solutions with different extinguishing gases for such sensitive fire protection requirements: Carbon dioxide (CO₂), nitrogen, argon, inergen as well as chemically acting extinguishing agents. Which of these extinguishing gases is most suitable is determined by the location and the objects to be protected.
