CEO (Chief Executive Officer)
Peter Baumgartner has more than 40 years of international experience in C-level leadership positions in management consulting, private equity, and industrial companies. Throughout his career, he has served as Chairman and CEO of a mechanical engineering company, as a partner at a private equity firm, and as Chairman and CEO of an internationally active industrial company. Prior to that, he was responsible for Oliver Wyman’s German operations and projects with global industrial clients.

CCO (Chief Commercial Officer)
Falk Ursinus has been responsible for Firian's commercial activities as CCO since April 2025, having previously held the position of COO since July 2023. With 17 years of industry experience, including eight years as Managing Director at Chubb Fire & Security Group Germany, he brings in-depth knowledge of the fire protection industry and thus ensures smooth processes in all phases of fire protection. His expertise in integrating companies and brands is invaluable to our growing company.

COO (Chief Operating Officer)
Jörn Appelkamp took over the role of COO at Firian in April 2025 and is responsible for the operational business areas. With his many years of experience in corporate development and international management, he brings in-depth expertise in the areas of business development, operations and strategic growth. In leading positions in the fire protection and process industry, he has demonstrated his ability to manage complex processes and build high-performance teams.

CFO (Chief Finance Officer)
Since August 2025, Peter Walendy has served as Interim CFO at Firian, overseeing the company’s financial management and administrative functions. With his extensive experience in finance and performance management, he brings deep expertise in the financial transformation of mid-sized and international companies. In leadership roles, including in the fields of interim management and strategic corporate development, he has successfully demonstrated his ability to optimize structures, manage complex change processes, and achieve sustainable improvements in results. His analytical strength and clear focus on value creation make an important contribution to Firian’s ongoing growth strategy.

Head of Strategy and Processes - Fire Protection Systems
Since January 2025, Torsten Höhlriegel has strengthened the Firian team and is responsible for strategy and processes in plant engineering. With over 25 years of experience in the fire protection industry, most recently as Technical Managing Director and Regional Manager, he brings in-depth technical expertise and extensive leadership experience. His focus is on the strategic development of plant engineering – with clear structures, efficient processes, and sustainable growth strategies.

Head of Procurement
Since January 2024, Lukas Huckestein has been responsible for strategic and operational purchasing and the vehicle fleet at Firian. In his role, he consistently drives the further development of the entire procurement and supply chain – with a focus on scalable, digital purchasing processes, high availability and competitive prices. In doing so, he lays the foundation for efficient, future-proof procurement as a key lever for Firian's growth.

Head of ESGRC, Compliance & Human Rights Officer
Mike Lingner heads the ESGRC team and is responsible for the strategic management of key governance, sustainability and compliance issues at Firian. With over 20 years of service at the company, he has extensive experience in the organisation and, together with the respective departments, ensures the effective implementation of regulatory requirements and the continuous development of company-wide standards, processes and management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 37301).

Head of Corporate Development & Marketing / Confidant
Rita Orschiedt is responsible for the strategic development of Firian. Since joining in September 2024, she has reliably embodied change. She has implemented key initiatives to further develop the company culture and values, expanded the Project Management Office, leads the marketing department, and overseen acquisitions. She combines process expertise with a deep understanding of internal structures and employee needs.

Head of HR
Alexandra Wachinger joined Firian in May 2024 and took over as head of the HR team in July 2025. Since then, the business graduate has had overall responsibility for the division’s HR strategies and, in particular, its digitalisation projects, foremost among which is the roll-out of Personio across the group. She brings with her extensive experience from the temporary employment sector and the housing industry. To further deepen her knowledge of employment law, she will begin a part-time Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) in Business Law in spring 2026.
