Kronospan has been based in the municipality of Sanem in Luxembourg since 1994. Around 330 employees work in wood processing there. The specialist for wood-based panels invested around 330 million euros in the site in 2017, including in the expansion of the production hall.
The Austrian Kronospan Group produces and sells wood-based building materials such as chipboard and laminate through its subsidiaries worldwide. According to its own information, Kronospan is the world's largest manufacturer of chipboard. Kronospan produces wood-based materials at more than 40 locations in Europe, Asia and North America.
The Sanem wood processing plant in Luxembourg is one of the many Kronospan plants that obtain all their fire protection from MULTIMON Industrieanlagen GmbH from a single source.
Not only sprinkler and gas extinguishing systems, but also the complete fire alarm technology comes from MULTIMON.
The production plant is networked with its many sprinkler control centers.
All the necessary fire alarms are recorded centrally so that the customer can initiate appropriate response steps promptly at any time.
